Becoming a Host
Hosting a Business-After-Hours event allows business members of the Wellington Area Chamber of Commerce to showcase their business and market their services in Wellington.
The following are guidelines and requirements for hosting a Business-After-Hours event.
Host Information
All Business After Hours Events are held on the second Thursday of each month from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Attendance may range from 30 - 60 people.
Hosts are responsible for preparing and sending or emailing invitations announcing the event at least 14 days in advance of the event. RSVPs should be made to you directly.
Hosts are responsible for providing beverages and hors d'oeuvres for the event guests.
A sign in sheet and nametags will be provided to you. Please return the sign in sheet to the chamber immediately after the event.
The host business will have an opportunity to showcase their business to the attendees of the event.
Chamber Services
Provide the host business with an electronic mailing list if requested, mailing labels, bulk mail permit information and a sample invite postcard.
Help promote the event through the web-site and other printed newsletters, etc. published by the Chamber.
Send out an e-mail reminder to all of the current members.
Provide assistance with the planning process including vendor and menu selections.
Provide registration, sign in sheets and name tags for the event.
