Wellington Area Businesses to Host a Virtual Job Fair
Wellington, CO – The Wellington Area Chamber of Commerce and Larimer County Economic and Workforce Development (LCEWD) will host a virtual job fair for all area businesses beginning on May 17th and will run through June 7th.

Wellington Area Businesses


The weeks-long event will help to connect job seekers with area employers needing to hire talent. The event will be hosted on the highly acclaimed platform, Premier Virtual, and will grant job seekers 24/7 access to the event and will allow job seekers to submit resumes for positions they are interested in. Businesses will also have access to log into the event, view resumes from job seekers, chat with job seekers visiting their booths, and reach out to interested candidates to schedule interviews and next steps.

This event is being supported by the Wellington Area Chamber of Commerce, but all businesses within the area are invited to register and use the platform to recruit much-needed talent. Businesses, please use the link below to register for and attend this event.

Job seekers interested in attending should register by clicking the link below. Resumes are not required to attend but are encouraged. Any job seekers in need of a new resume or would like assistance updating their resume are encouraged to reach out to LCEWD’s Workforce Connections Team and work with a Career Consultant to prepare for this event. As a benefit to Chamber members, there is no cost to participate in this job fair. We encourage all local businesses to participate but there will be a nominal fee of $100 for our local businesses that are not a member of the Chamber. We can provide more detail as needed.

Guest Speaker: Mike O’Connell | Director, Larimer County SBDC

In 2001, O’Connell purchased Mountain Woods Furniture (MWF), a leading national designer/manufacturer of rustic hand-crafted furniture, and co-owned and profitably operated that business until its’ sale in December 2011. MWF’s products were sold through Cabelas, national furniture e-tailers, furniture stores, and resorts and lodges desiring a rustic style. He provided over 6,000 paychecks to American manufacturing workers during his ownership of MWF. Prior to MWF, he worked in a variety of executive sales, marketing, and business unit management positions, including eleven years with Victor Industries, North America’s third-largest manufacturer of metal cutting and welding equipment. O’Connell has a business degree with a marketing emphasis from Purdue University.

He became Larimer Center Director in 2013, and by 2016 the Center was one of the top-performing centers in the State. “Our goal is to help maximize the economic the potential of small businesses in Larimer county, through street-smart business education and connection to useful resources.”
