Spargetoberfest is a 5K run/walk to support the Wellington American Legion and the
Wellington-Waverly Kiwanis Club.

Proceeds from the event will help support local veterans and ensure every youth has an opportunity to participate in athletic programs.


Race shirt, breakfast burrito, and beer or nonalcoholic drink options are included with each paid registration. You will be prompted to choose your shirt and burrito on the order form at the end of the registration. Options to purchase extras are available.

There will be more food options, vendors, and entertainment to keep you having a great time once you are finished with your run/walk. Awards will be given at noon. We encourage you to stay and enjoy the day with us!

There will be NO parking available at Sparge Brewery, the event site.

Angela Myers has been the Larimer County Clerk and Recorder since being unanimously appointed by the Board of County Commissioners in May 2013. She was elected by the people in November 2014 and re-elected in November 2018. Prior to becoming Clerk, Angela had worked at the side of the former Clerk for nearly ten years.
She leads a staff of 87 employees who, in addition to administering elections also safeguard the foundation of county government with the recording of property and other records, and act as agents of the state in the administration of vehicle titling and licensing processes. Under Angela’s leadership, all major systems have been replaced.

Linda Knaack married into the automotive world 23 years ago and her daughter Sara was born into it 21 years ago. The pair have spent countless hours in the garage working alongside John (husband and father), an ASE L1 Advanced Level Specialist and Master Certified Technician, to repair and maintain their personal fleet of vehicles. In mid-October 2017 the family was presented with the opportunity to open their own automotive repair facility in their hometown of Wellington, CO, and leaped at the chance. Approximately two weeks later on November 1st, 2017 the doors were opened, and business was up and running. Linda and Sara immediately took on the role of service advisors and climbed the steep learning curve of estimating and part sourcing for nearly every type of vehicle on the road.

As the mother and daughter duo delved deeper into their business an awareness arose that many people are leery to go into an automotive repair facility and are more so to ask questions. We understand that vehicles are personal and are ultimately a means of freedom and livelihood for many.

Our mission is to help our customers understand their vehicles better and to break down the barriers that exist for women in male-dominated fields. In a desire to help our local community and loyal customers, we seek to educate and advise what to look for when you go to a mechanic, tire shop, and/or oil change facility. We also want to share what questions people should ask and how to watch out for the Service Advisor Bully.

Wellington, CO – The Wellington Area Chamber of Commerce and Larimer County Economic and Workforce Development (LCEWD) will host a virtual job fair for all area businesses beginning on May 17th and will run through June 7th.

The weeks-long event will help to connect job seekers with area employers needing to hire talent. The event will be hosted on the highly acclaimed platform, Premier Virtual, and will grant job seekers 24/7 access to the event and will allow job seekers to submit resumes for positions they are interested in. Businesses will also have access to log into the event, view resumes from job seekers, chat with job seekers visiting their booths, and reach out to interested candidates to schedule interviews and next steps.

This event is being supported by the Wellington Area Chamber of Commerce, but all businesses within the area are invited to register and use the platform to recruit much-needed talent. Businesses, please use the link below to register for and attend this event.

I’m a true HR nerd and love digging into wage and hour rules, working with teams, and helping the incredible organizations in our community understand all of the fun (and sometimes tricky) aspects of HR. In addition to Co-Founding simplyHR in 2016, I also co-created Define the Line, a workplace harassment training in the form of a comic book to educate, train, and empower individuals and workplaces to speak and act against harassment to create safe workplaces. My professional experience has ranged from restaurants and retailers to a non-profit organization to large corporations. My functions ranged from staffing to culture and compliance to a variety of other functions including forecasting, budgeting, operations, and employee relations.

Through that, I realized there is a huge need for assistance for businesses navigating all of the complexities of HR laws so that they can focus on their areas of expertise, and still be compliant in HR. In addition to working with clients directly through simplyHR, I am an HR Consultant for the Larimer SBDC. I feel extremely fortunate to work with so many admirable managers and executive directors and to be doing what I love. Outside of work, I enjoy running, skiing, getting outside any way possible, and spending time with my husband and twin boys.
