Lisa Christopherson is an entrepreneur and leader of a non-profit which exists to create sustainability in the lives of women. Lisa started working with women 15 years ago as the Women’s Ministries Director at Timberline Church in Fort Collins. In 2006, she learned about the injustice of human trafficking and the need to help women once they were rescued. She started buying their handmade goods and creating a market to sell them. This not only gave these rescued women an income but instilled the confidence and healing they needed to recover from their horrific pasts. She has traveled to India, Nepal, Spain, and Guatemala to meet vulnerable and rescued women and learn more about the world of human trafficking. She also works locally with law enforcement and organizations to fight human trafficking in our backyards.
Lisa has worked in the leadership of a non-profit alongside 150 volunteers for the past 12 years and started a brand to support the importing of these and other handmade goods. Most recently, she has purchased Polished Spa in Wellington. She plans to use this business as yet another outlet for some of the products she has procured, and as a means of forging relationships in the business world to continue her passion for women helping women.
Lisa’s background in leadership, social work, parenting, and medical and dental certifications in the states of Colorado and Texas, is varied, yet always remains service oriented.
