The McKinney – Vento Homeless Assistance Act is Title X Part C of the No Child Left Behind Act. This legislation ensures that children and youth experiencing homelessness have full and equal access to appropriate public education and that they experience success in school. Christie Brucher assists the Wellington Middle School, Rice Elementary School, and Eyestone Elementary School by making sure that those students have what they need. That includes food, shelter, school supplies, transportation and anything else they need to be successful.

“ The students here in Wellington are so lucky to have a community that truly cares about them! – Christie Brucher
